Nicely done, artwork and animation was decent, story line (if you could call it that) was amusing, but you should make something longer :)

Alsnowman responds:

Thanx man. This was actually just some practice with a new tablet i got so just wanted to make it short with a cheap joke at the end. Expect it to be better and longer in the future as i get comfortable with my new equipment... and i guess after that i'll do some animation too! (zing) U see wat i did there?? U SEE WAT I DID THERE! LOL

Excellent

Wow, a great animation there. Very emotive.

Art and animation was nice, not the best - but hey we're not all working for pixar. Especially at the end, some of the fbf running animation was very impressive compared to the tweens you had used previously. Did you use some kind of model or wire-frame for that just out of interest? It was easy to see your progression and development from the start to the end, it looks like you've learnt a lot and improved throughout the production process of this.

The only thing I was kind of disappointed about was that he didn't go see his wife and kid - maybe in the end he was fighting for the wrong things? This definitely made me think and it's no often a flash can do that.

Would have liked to hear some voices, maybe hook up with a voice actor in your next piece.

Overall a stunning piece of work 5/5
Keep at it

Epic

I really loved this. It was charming and cute (in a non-gay-way of course). It made my smile.

Great art

The art was really nice, incredible even, it's a shame this wasn't longer though as I'd have loved to see more.

It's a good start to the story which I hope you will continue.

There were only 3 things I could fault with it, it's length (too short), the text was hard to read (I think this was due to antialias being turned on but as it's a pixel font you don't need any, there's an option to turn it off which would have made it more readable) and thirdly at one point the character is walking from right to left along the screen but there is a 1 or 2 pixel gap at the bottom which is white where the covering box isn't big enough.

Don't get me wrong though, I loved it. It was a really nice style, it looks like you've put a lot of effort into it - but it doesn't come across as wanna-be-ish - it's just shows you know what you're doing.

I'd love to see the rest of the series on NG soon, but if your hearts not in it and you want to do something else - don't feel you should continue doing something you're not enjoying, you'll have more fun and make better work if you're enjoying doing it.

Respect.

Good

It was only sticks, which is one of the laziest forms of animating - but I kinda liked this.

I'd like to see something like this but with better characters, real people and a couple more effects like screen shake when things explode and more blurs (Flash 8 filters ftw!)

I really liked the ending though, made me laugh.
